Bride And Groom Outstide of Gibbet Hill reception

During the reception, Marissa and Scott Pose For A Portrait Outside of Gibbett Hill On Their Wedding Day

Church Wedding and Gibbet Hill Reception

Marissa and Scott planned a beautiful wedding at St. James Church in Groton, MA, with a Gibbet Hill reception. The day started off with the bride getting ready at her parent’s lake side cottage in Westford, MA. The groom and the guys were just down the road getting ready at the Westford Regency. Everyone was really laid back, making it incredibly easy for us to make pictures.

St. James is a quaint little church in West Groton and it was absolutely perfect for this wedding. I love the photograph that Ashley took from the balcony showing the whole church full of loved ones. After the short but sweet ceremony, we grabbed a few family photos and headed off to Gibbet Hill reception for the party. We were able to grab a few night shots outside the barn before the introductions. I love it when the bride and groom are intrepid enough to brave the cold for some portraits!

This wedding reception was incredible. The barn at Gibbet Hill offers such a perfect New England wedding reception. The warmth of the wood and the lighting make everything so cozy and romantic. It’s a great spot for a late Fall or Winter wedding.

After some moving speeches by Marissa’s father and her bridesmaids. The bride and groom were serenaded by Scott’s brothers, which was hilarious! Groove Authority was the band and they always put on a great performance. Except for the dinner and cake cutting, there were people on the dance floor all night. This is just how Marissa and Scott wanted it to be! We couldn’t be happier for this couple and wish them well on the journey ahead! Check out some of our favorite photos below.

Tim and Danielle planned a beautiful Winter wedding in Groton, MA. We started at the St. James Catholic Church in West Groton, then moved on to the Barn at Gibbet Hill. We had the privilege of meeting Tim and Danielle at Tim’s sister Angela’s wedding back in 2011. Seeing familiar faces from weddings past is always exciting for a wedding photographer. The best part is that we’ll probably see some more of this family soon!

A winter wedding at Gibbet Hill was a perfect idea! And the weather cooperated, giving us just a bit of snow on the ground, mild temperatures and some very cool and dramatic fog. The Gibbet Hill Barn is so warm and inviting, especially in January, creating the perfect cozy atmosphere.

Take a look at these photos below and experience the love and joy that we all felt at this wedding. We have to thank the bride and groom for their willingness to let us in to their lives for a brief time so we could make these photos. And congratulations to the newlyweds!
