Wychmere Beach Club Wedding

The Wychmere Beach Club is a luxury oceanside wedding venue located in Harwichport, MA. A Longwood venue, The Wychmere combines a classic Cape Cod vibe with modern luxury. Boasting of over 20 acres overlooking Nantucket Sound, this elegant property is ideal Cape Cod wedding venue.

For this particular wedding, we began the day in two separate rental homes in Dennis and Chatham. It was important for the getting ready locations be somewhat central to Harwichport and Brewster, MA. A beautiful Catholic church, Our Lady of the Cape is located right on route 6A. It was chosen by the bride and groom because unique architecture. Photographers love this church because the windows let in some dramatic light, allowing us to make some creative images during the wedding ceremony.

After the ceremony we had the opportunity for some fun wedding party photos at the Chatham Anglers baseball field. The groom and most of the groomsmen were serious baseball players so it was important for them to work that into the photos. The portrait with the bride and groom in the foreground and wedding party on the warning track was a favorite image of the bride and groom. It’s important to have some fun with your wedding party and this extra location really worked out.

On to The Wychmere for cocktail hour, more portraits and a party to remember. One of the most spectacular amenities of this wedding venue is the private beach. There are so many portrait opportunities here and on this particular day the light was absolutely perfect. In fact, some of our favorite images were walking to and from the beach. That’s how gorgeous this property is. Guests enjoyed cocktail hour inside and outside by the water, enjoying the summer evening and watching the boats come in. The reception in the Harbor Room, literally overlooks the harbor and as the sun sets and the sky darkens, the room basks in the glow of the chandeliers. It is quite impressive with the sliding glass doors, white plank walls and sail cloth draperies, making it one of Cape Cod’s premier wedding venues.
