The Captain Flanders House in Chilmark, MA is a scenic delight. When Kristen Gosselin of KG Events and Design told us that it was going to be one of the locations she had selected for our styled shoot we were thrilled. This idyllic property quickly turned into one of our favorite spots on Martha’s Vineyard. We’ve stayed up island in Menemsha before so Ashley and I were already in love with the area, but now we have one more place we need to either stay over night or photograph a wedding… or both! It is a very unique country property, and I can imagine that a wedding here would be a dream come true for a couple.
If you haven’t seen our last blog post showing off the stunning work of Kristen and also Julie McNamara of Vintage Retriever, you have to check it out. These two are both incredible at creating a beautiful and intimate setting. That last shoot was in Oak Bluffs in the morning and this shoot at Captain Flanders was scheduled to end at sunset. It was a long day, but it was worth it! Kristen and Julie worked their magic on a couple of tables and we had the privilege of having a couple of wonderful models as well.
The whole shoot was incredibly fun to take part in and it was incredible watching Kristen and Julie put it all together. Hopefully we’ll all be able to do this again soon! A few other folks involved with this shoot:
