Engagement Portrait Ward Reservation Andover

Rob and Stella planned their engagement session at the gorgeous Ward Reservation in Andover, MA.

Ward Reservation In The Fall

I had the privilege of photographing Stella and Rob’s engagement photos last week at the Ward Reservation in Andover, MA. They brought their dog, Sophie, who got to run around this huge preserve and had a blast. This is one my favorite places in the entire world and I was thrilled that Stella selected it and that everyone enjoyed the property. Ward Reservation and Holt Hill are Trustees of the Reservation properties, which is where I search when looking for a new Massachusetts landscape. I found it years ago and its great for small portrait shoots or just for taking the family on a walk. Highly recommended.

The weather was decent, not too cold, but once we walked up the hill into the sun it was really nice up there. Stella had a save the date collar for Sophie, who handled the photo op with as much dignity as she could. We didn’t bother her too long with the photos as Stella had brought her brother along to take care of the her and let her run around while we finished up the session. The Autumn light hitting the hill was tremendous; a photographer’s dream!. We even had time to walk to the top of Holt Hill where it was clear enough to see Boston. So looking forward to Stella and Rob’s wedding in ’14!

Here’s a few of my favorites images from this engagement session.
