Katy and Brian planned a beautiful Merrimack Valley wedding at the MVGC in late Summer. It was gorgeous!
Merrimack Valley Wedding
Lowell, MA – Ashley and I photographed Katy and Brian’s wedding at St. Lucy Parish in Methuen, MA. The reception was at one of our favorite Merrimack Valley wedding venues, the aptly named Merrimack Valley Golf Club.
When we met with Katy and Brian for the first time we knew we’d love to shoot their wedding. They were so laid back and easy to talk to that it took awhile before we even started to get into the wedding photography. They also live in Lowell, so that right there is a nice connection to us. Once we did get into the wedding day specifics we were thrilled to hear that Katy had booked The John Nesmith House in Lowell to start the day. This fully restored historical landmark has been decorated beautifully and is perfect for the bridal party’s getting ready area. The afternoon light really lit up this gorgeous property.
Brian didn’t have the restored mansion for accommodations but he was able to surround himself with good friends while the minutes counted down. There were no shortage of laughs while the guys all figured out their tuxedos. It was a lot of fun and I think we got some really nice images from it. This time of the wedding day is calm before the storm, so it’s always ideal to be in the company of your friends and family.
The ceremony at St. Lucy Parish went well and we were off to the Merrimack Valley Golf Club in Methuen, MA. This is a nice country club venue just North of Boston. The view from the balcony is breathtaking and there are some excellent spots to photograph on the course. After portraits, the wedding reception was off to the races! These guys had a blast and so did we! As always we had a great time and can’t wait to finish up the edit. Take a look at some of our favorite images.
